SOCIOLOGY INTERNSHIP

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Work Intern is responsible for learning about the work of the Keene Senior Center, focusing on program development and management by assisting Executive Director with his/her responsibilities.  Intern responsibilities include programming for ongoing programs, one-time event programs, assisting maintaining Center database, and assisting at program events.

This position is a part-time, volunteer, unpaid internship. Office hours are scheduled; however intern hours are flexible and scheduled to maximize intern’s ability to meet the needs of the agency, the intern’s scholastic responsibilities, and to provide the highest quality of service delivery at the Keene Senior Center. 

NUTRITION INTERNSHIP

POSITION SUMMARY: ​
The Nutrition Intern is responsible for learning about the work of the Keene Senior Center, focusing on nutrition program development and management by assisting Executive Director with his/her responsibilities.  Intern responsibilities include programming for ongoing programs, one-time event programs, assisting maintaining Center database, and assisting at program events.

This position is a part-time, volunteer, unpaid internship. Office hours are scheduled; however intern hours are flexible and scheduled to maximize intern’s ability to meet the needs of the agency, the intern’s scholastic responsibilities, and to provide the highest quality of service delivery at the Keene Senior Center.

ARTS AND/OR GRAPHIC ART INTERNSHIP

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Art/Graft Art Intern is responsible for learning about the work of the Keene Senior Center, focusing on art and graphic art program development and management by assisting Executive Director, and Assistant Director with his/her responsibilities. Intern responsibilities include developing art programming for ongoing programs,
one-time event programs, assisting maintaining Center database, and assisting at program events. A graphic art intern will work on a variety of communication media pieces, utilizing Windows tools, other software, and social media.


This position is a part-time, volunteer, unpaid internship. Office hours are scheduled; however intern hours are flexible and scheduled to maximize intern’s ability to meet the needs of the agency, the intern’s scholastic responsibilities, and to provide the highest quality of service delivery at the Keene Senior Center. 




additional internship Duties & rEQUIrements

-Represent agency at volunteer fairs, and like gatherings -Assist with recruitment of volunteers and outreach of clients -Intern assists with recruitment/outreach and program development, and public relations. -Other duties as necessary


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE SKILL REQUIRED:

-Student working toward college degree or equivalent experience

-Willing learn about issues facing senior citizens

-Good verbal and written skills


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

-Participate in Senior Center training and other professional development training, as appropriate


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS REQUIRED

-Qualifications: Enrollment in college undergraduate/graduate program

-One year experience in non-profit involving direct client service, project management, and communication skills

-Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

-Successful completion of criminal/driver check.

Communication-Marketing INTERNSHIP


POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Communication-Marketing is responsible for learning about the work of the Keene Senior Center, focusing on marketing and communication by assisting Executive Director in his/her responsibilities.  Intern responsibilities include communication for event-based programs, assisting with computer fundraising database, assisting programs events, publicity, public relations, and general marketing.


This position is a part-time, volunteer, unpaid internship.  Office hours are scheduled; however intern hours are flexible and scheduled to maximize intern’s ability to meet the needs of the agency, the intern’s scholastic responsibilities and to provide the highest quality of service delivery at the Keene Senior Center.
